This one time, in Karazhan, our little Oasis friends couldn't sleep, because ghosts kept haunting them when they tried to sleep, so they thought: 'well, lets try to find a nice book to read then, the Library ought to have enough'

When they made their way to the library, they couldn't get any further, because even móre ghosts were blocking their path. Getting really really annoyed now, they with poked their sticks (yay magic immune mobs)at the ghosts and slowly but surely made their way through the library, still unable to find a good book :O

Soon they found a secret passageway, maybe Medivh kept all the books for himself right there :o They opened the passageway, but they didn't see books there, but a mean looking Satyr oO They slowly backed away and closed the passageway, before the Satyr saw them!

They made their way through a few more ghosts, when Neurotic and Lero got too scared to go on, and swiftly went back to bed! Two friends of our Oasisians joined, and they could make their way to the part of the library where all the good books are kept!

They got higher and higher up in the tower, and seemed to have left the library, when they suddenly came across a huuuuge game of chess, with none other then the Echo of Medivh at the other side of the board :o

Well, since it was/is his library, maybe he knew where the good books are, so our brave guildies decided to go up and ask him. Medivh said that he indeed knew where the books were, but first they had to play a game of chess against him.

Having nothing better to do, and still unable to sleep they went ahead with the plan, and took their positions. After a long and intense game (MEDIVH IS A CHEAT! There, I said it!) King Mithril and the rest of the merry men (and Shinx ) won the game, and a chest appeared :o

Inside the chest were Legplates of the Innocent and Bladed Shoulderpads of the Merciless. The Legplates were destroyed (read: disenchanted), because Khay and Mith didn't want them (they don't match with their pj's *sigh*) and one of the friends who tagged along said the shoulderpads matched his pj's, so he was allowed to take them (aaw we're such a nice bunch of people)



They walked up to Medivh, but he wasn't too pleased with how the game went ("I haven't lost a game in a lifetime, and now *mumble mumble*"), so he refused to tell them about the whereabouts of the books...

Suddenly someone remembered seeing a rather shadey fellow in one of the rooms downstairs, so the gang went back to the room.

When they arrived there, they suddenly realised it wasn't a shadey person, but a shade! (for all you newbies out there, A GHOST! D: )

They long doubted if they should ask him, but in the end, Mithril decided he should be the one to ask, since he had the prettiest pj's (The fact that the rest shoved him forwards helped too)

When he went up to the shade, it suddenly started yelling:

"Who are you? What do you want? Stay away from me!"

"Sir, I'm Mithril and these are my friends, and we just wanted to ask you about wher we can find..."

The Shade suddenly started attacking Mithril and the rest of the group:
"Burn you hellish fiends!"

"But we don't mean any harm, we just want a good.."

"I'll freeze you all!"

"Well that's not hard in this castle without any heating system, and us all in our - still quite warm - pj's! Foolish old man!"

Nót exactly the best thing to say to something that has the power to kill you :>

"I am not some simple jester! I am Nielas Aran!"

The group fought hard to keep everyone alive, but the Shade was just too angry, thanks to some well put remarks by he-who-shall-not-be-named-to-save-him-from-eternal-shame-and-poking-at With a mere 44% of his health left, he killed of the last group member. They all came back alive and decided, as a group, that they didn't feel like reading anyway, and went back to bed...

The first ever clear of the Chess Event with some crap loot given the raid setup (for loot, check the story ) and our first ever (unprepared, I might add) try at the Shade of Aran resulted in a 44% wipe, not bad, if I say so myself

Bladed Shoulderpads of the Merciless Binds when picked up Shoulder Leather 239 Armor +27 Stamina Yellow Socket Yellow Socket Socket Bonus: +3 Hit Rating Requires Level 70 Equip: Improves hit rating by 10 (0.63% @ L70). Equip: Improves critical strike rating by 18 (0.82% @ L70). Equip: Increases attack power by 54.

Today Oasis officially cleared the Opera event by killing the Big Bad Wolf in their FIRST ATTEMPT. The Phat Lewt that dropped was Ribbon of Sacrifice for Fable and Red Riding Hood's Cloakfor Glitcher.

It was a great run and managed to also kill Curator and get shinx a pwetty staff ( Staff of Infinite Mysteries) and Khay his tier 4 gloves.

Staff of Infinite Mysteries Binds when picked up Two-Hand Staff 142 - 290 Damage Speed 3.20 (67.6 damage per second) +61 Stamina +51 Intellect Requires Level 70 Equip: Improves hit rating by 23 (1.46% @ L70). Equip: Increases spell power by 185.

Weee! After just three nights of trying (and a grand total of 8-9 tries tops) we have killed the Curator! Though everyone said it was gonna be hard, and we were gonna need a lot of arcane res, we proved them wrong and killed him on the third try of the night )

now how cool is that?!

I want to congratulate Grey with his new hat Wicked Witch's Hat and Ant had to serve as our epic trash can again for Earthsoul Leggings.

The raid then moved on for our first encounter with the Curator, which resulted in a 71% wipe. Not bad for our first time

After 5 tries (with one particularly aggravating try, where Romulo ressed the very second we killed Julianne, the Montague bastard) we managed to reunite the two lovebirds in death... :o

This made our first night at the opera a very succesful one, and our overall progress is getting along quite nicely too, having killed three new bosses in the past two weeks

Despair dropped for Khayman, and Greywise got pretty new Trial-Fire Trousers.
